From March 2021 the Gujarati cultural organisation Subrang Arts in collaboration with Brent Museum and Archives, hosts ‘Roots and Changes – Gujarati Influences’, a multi-dimensional exhibition and events series. This project, curated and organised by Rolf Killius and Lata Desai, highlights the influences of the Gujarati diaspora in the UK focussing on the London Borough of Brent. It is part of the celebrations of ‘London Borough of Culture 2021’ award given to Brent. The narration of the exhibition is based on 12 oral history interviews with personalities related to the Gujarati community in the UK. |
